Home

ThrillerFest 2006 is now in the past. I returned home last night from what turned out to be the best conference I've ever been to. From meeting several of my Killer Year classmates, to being taken under the wings of two fantastic, established writers, to meeting big names and newbies and everyone inbetween. I'll try to post my thoughts later. I'm still a bit mush minded at the moment.

One thing I have realized is that time is becoming an issue. WIth that in mind, no more posting everyday for me. I'm going with the two to three times a week strategy. I hope that doesn't keep you from checking in. I'll still be here, just working on book two a little harder.

It will just make us appreciate you more when you are here.

Working on book two a little harder. Amen to that.

all teasing aside. It was wonderful to meet you, Brett.

It was such a pleasure to meet you in the flesh. I can't wait to read your book (with or without a title).

It was great meeting you, Brett!! :)

I second Jason, can't wait to read your book!

I think Brett and Jason were absolutely the toast of ThrillerFest. And I second, third and fourth the motions to get to work on Book 2!
And getting a chance to meet Elizabeth, who is a doll, Mindy, who is a riot, and Rob, who is completely cool, was remarkable, to say the least. Sandra, you were very missed!

Had a great time hanging out with you Brett. Sorry for all the yelling. Between me and Terrenoire it's a wonder anyone can still hear.

I'm sure you'll get past your title woes soon. My recommendation is to add the phrase "Electric Boogaloo" to the end of whatever you come up with.

'Cuz I'm helpful that way.

Sandra, thanks. I appreciate that!

Rob, 2nd book blues. But after this past weekend, I've heard it doesn't get any better with book 3 or 4 or...

M.G. and Jason right back at you.

Same for you, Elizabeth.

JT, you were pretty high on the "toast" level yourself!

And Stephen, not too loud at all. It was great to get to know you!

Just curious: Did anyone at the conference suggest that this was a good time to get going on book 2?

Patry...uh...yeah...that subject did come up. So did the subject that we are all struggling with our second books. In a strange way it was comforting.

But gotta get on book 2. It's the main reason I'm cutting down to two or three posts a week now.
