PRE-ORDER NOW!!!

Okay, so it's still a bit over six months before THE CLEANER actually hits the books story, but it's up on Amazon now, so you can pre-order your heart out!

THE CLEANER on Amazon.com

Me? I've already order 423 copies...or at least I've thought about doing that!

How exciting! Since I'm moving next year sometime, I'll have to wait to pre-order your book so I'll know what address to send it to, but I will, don't you worry. I can't wait!

Bill, you have my undying love. My guess is you are the very first! Congratulations.

Mai, totally understand, but remember, you've already qualified for a fee advanced reader's copy (probably in January). I mean, please, still buy a copy...maybe you can give it to a friend!

Stephen...that's a big WHAT-EV-AR

You mean they're finally gonna release the damn thing? :)

Seriously, I will be ordering as soon as I can take a breath. And I already HAVE the damn book.

By the way, have you started looking at the Amazon numbers yet? They drop significantly when someone orders a book. I spent the first couple weeks watching them, but rarely check any...

Wait, I'll be back later.

YAY!

But. Do you want us to order NOW or en masse on your publication day? Either way, I'm also going to get a couple copies in stores so that I can laud you to my favorite booksellers and get them to handsell you...

Rob, yes you have the book, the questions is, when are you ever going to read it??

Tasha, THANK YOU!!!! You are a STAR!! Probably shouldn't buy yet online. Amazon doesn't even list a discount yet, that ain't good! Just felt cool to see it there.

Gee, this raises an interesting question.

I've been trying to wean myself from the point-and-click purchase method and return to the old-fashioned cash register found at my local bookstore.

On the other hand, jumping onto Amazon or B&N.com today and pre-ordering THE CLEANER, LOST DOG, and KISS HER GOODBYE would help my friends build early momentum.

This is all too complicated. I need help thinking this through--what should I do?

Good News Brett! I am with Phil, Where should we buy your book? Is it better to go to the store and face all the books forward or will it be determined by the amount of gift cards I get in my stocking this year? How important are these Amazon numbers?

Honestly, Amazon numbers are not as important as in store numbers. And it's always good to support our brick and mortar shops.

Hold off until the end of June. Buy it in a store. If for some reason it's not there, ask them why not? If it is, tell them you've heard that it's great! And always, ALWAYS, when you see books by people you know on your local booksellers shelves, turn them cover out. :)

I'm a notorious rearranger in store, Brett. I'm on the case. The cover is gorgeous, I'll buy when I get the word, and thanks for the link.

That's certainly true, Brett. I usually try to buy most of my books at the local independents. Murder by the Book for my mystery/thriller needs and Powell's for other stuff. But I also can't resist the one-click lure of seeing Killer Year books at Amazon (as well as friends of Killer Year books, Phil!)

Maybe I'll hafta buy two copies of each, one via click and one via brick. They'll all make great gifts!

It's just so cool to see the forward momentum. You know?
Happy for you, man. Regardless of WHEN the orders come, it's going to be a smash hit.

Ohh, that's so exciting, I get to read it in January! I'm super excited! I know exactly who I'll buy your book for, she's huge into Thriller novels and me and her always give each other books.
