EXIT 9—Follow up to SICK—Now Out!

The second book of my Project Eden Thriller series is now available as an ebook at Amazon.com, Barnesandnoble.com, & Smashwords.com (other sites coming.) Should have the trade paperback out next month.

Before, it was just a test, a little demonstration to see if the virus worked. It did, and so much better than its creators could have ever hoped.

But the testing phase is over. It’s time for Project Eden to take the next step. If its members have their way, humanity is about to get a reboot.

It’s up to Daniel Ash and the others in the outnumbered resistance to keep the Project from severely downsizing mankind. But can their small force succeed in the face of a plan decades in the making?

The human race had better hope so, because if Ash and his friends can’t…

Hey Brett -- loved Exit Nine. At the end, it says the follow-up book would be releasing in the spring. Is that spring '12 or spring '13?

Hi Anon...Spring '12. Glad you liked EXIT 9. The next one should be out by end of May.

OMG!The end of May! I think I love you. :) I so love this series and of course I'm addicted. You left us hanging at the end so I am dying to read more, and I too was expecting the next one not to be out for another year and now I read this. Thank you Brett. I love your writing! Just finished No Return. Another great book. :)

I am eagerly awaiting book three, also. Finished Exit 9 recently and went to Amazon to get the next one and found out it isn't available yet. I try really hard not to start a series until I have all of them in my possesion, as I love total emmersion, but got hooked on yours anyway. Also just read No Return, so guess I need to see what else is available, lol.

I've become totally addicted to this series as well!! This is the first series that I have not been able to stop reading. I anticipate every minute I'm able to sit down and get through another chapter! What a great novel!

Don't tease us! Really May '12? Gotta admit you are up there with Baldacci, Child, and all the other authors that get more press. I'm going to get all your books, please keep writing. Tommy

That's Anon. Am working feverishly on it now...though that May '12 is a bit ambitious. Will mostly likely be out early June. (It's almost done, though!)

I read 'Every Precious Thing' (it was available on free download for Kindle) and I quickly went on to read the other Logan thriller and the two Project Eden books in a space of 3 days-I couldn't stop reading-I love your books! I cannot believe I haven't come across your books until now! I am waiting for the follow-up to Exit 9....Thank you for the great books!

Brett Battles said...

Ah, Jewels, thanks!

And, Sade, wow! Thank you for plowing through my books! Just finishing up the next Project Eden book (called PALE HORSE), and it should be out before June 15. Have you checked out my Quinn books?

Brett,
Tommy (anon) again. Wow, since last post I bought and read entire Quinn & Harper series. As they say where I'm from, 'Wicked Awesome!'. Even got Pull Of Gravity, No Return, Perfect Gentleman, & Here Comes Mr. Trouble, but afraid to read until next Project Eden comes out; I don't want to run out!
I've been turning people from B&N on to your books (starting with Sick & Exit 9 to get them anticipating 3rd book) and will continue to do so until name is synonymous with the genre like the others I mentioned; I'm still upset it took me this long to discover your fiction and don't want other's to suffer the same fate! Keep up the writing, I'll keep up the reading.
T-

Thanks, Tommy! Spreading the word is the best kind of promotion, and I appreciate it very much! So glad you've been entertained. Book 3 (PALE HORSE) is done and with my copy editor right now. So should be out in the first or second week of June.

I read The Destroyed, Todesjagd and The Shadow of Betrayal since my post. I am absolutely gripped by the plots, the characters and the writing. I really have to pace myself so I don't run out of your books-I simply cannot put them down!!! I cannot remember the last time I was caught up in such a reading frenzy-I started the Project Eden series to 'unhook' from the Logan series and turned to the Quinn series to keep myself going until the sequel to Exit 9 is released. I can't stop talking about your books to friends, librarians, book shop folk. I hope more of your books will be available in German.
Once again thank you for the great books!

Sade, you're very kind, and I truly appreciate you letting everyone know about my novels!

Any idea when the next Project Eden book will be out? I saw before you said May this year, but its June (and I just discovered this series and finished Exit 9 last night in the wee hours of the morning). I need to know what happens! Do you have a new release date?

Brett Battles said...

You're timing is almost perfect Dove4848...#3, PALE HORSE, will be out this coming weekend for Kindle and Nook. Hoping Saturday, but might be Sunday depending on Amazon and B&N (there's always a delay between when everything gets uploaded and when it goes live.)

Glad you're enjoying the series!

Breanne said...

Is this available at all for Canada? The smashwords link no longer works and I don't have a kindle... looking for something that would work with Kobo or Adobe Digital Editions, so epub most likely.

Lilpouter said...

Brett,

It's Saturday night so I'm really hoping Pale Horse comes out tomorrow. Do you know if it will also be out on audio? The other two project Eden books were on audible and I LOVED listening to them. Would you know if it will be out on audio or is that up to the book company?
Can't wait for Pale Horse!
Thanks,
Linda

Breanne, i have chosen to reduce my use of Smashwords for various reasons. Unfortunately, since they were the way I was able to get my books on Kobo, now my books are gone from there, too. The good news is that Kobo is only a few weeks away of having a system in place that will allow myself and others to go directly to them.

That, of course, doesn't help you in the short term. So email me using the email address you'll find on the contact page of my website - brettbattles (dot)(com) - and I'll email you a free copy you can read now.

Brett Battles said...

Linda...it's out on Amazon and Barnes &Noble now. If you goes to those sites and search Pale Horse with my name, you should be taken right to it.

There will,be an audio version coming out from Audible.com, but that probably won't be for a couple months.
